Describe the feedstock
Share the seaweed species, condition, solids loading and any pretreatment or co-feedstock.

Tailored enzymes and enzyme blends for seaweed biomass processing in biofuel development, including fermentation and anaerobic digestion projects. Available in bulk following consultation.
Discuss biofuel processing enzymes ↗Biofuel projects need an enzyme treatment that fits the downstream process. For fermentation, discuss the carbohydrate fraction you want to release and the organism you plan to use. For anaerobic digestion, describe your feedstock mixture, pretreatment and the process measurements you will use.
Changes in viscosity or soluble material can be useful observations, but they do not establish a fuel yield improvement on their own. Evaluate enzyme-treated biomass against a suitable control and measure the outcome of the actual downstream conversion step.
Share the seaweed species, condition, solids loading and any pretreatment or co-feedstock.
Tell us whether your route involves fermentation, anaerobic digestion or another conversion process.
Plan measurements of substrate conversion and final fuel or gas output alongside processing observations.
We have panels of hundreds of high-activity enzymes designed to break down different components of seaweed’s complex structure. Speak to Scientific & Technical about a tailored enzyme or blend for your feedstock, process and required bulk quantity. Our current seaweed enzyme range is non-food grade and is not supplied for food or feed use.
